Having video of the suspects in a crime can be a huge help in a police investigation. When there have been serious crimes in the past, officers have had to go through the very time-consuming process of going door to door in the area asking about camera systems. Through the Maumelle, Arkansas Video Surveillance System Registration Program, they will now be able to quickly determine where those systems are and contact the homeowner or business representative to ask them to review their video. If they find something believed to be of value on their recording, they could contact us to have the officer return to look at it. Please take a couple of minutes to complete the below registration. Policy: Registration is voluntary and there is no cost associated with registration. Registering your information does not provide the Maumelle Police Department (MPD) with direct access to your camera. You may delete your registration at any time. An individual's personal information will be kept confidential by the Police Department unless subject to disclosure by court order. Your information will only be accessed by law enforcement personnel who are investigating a crime in the vicinity of your camera. You will only be contacted by the MPD in the future if there is a criminal incident in the vicinity of your security camera. Police personnel may, if necessary, request a copy of any video captured on your camera, which may assist in the investigation of a crime.

Terms of Usage: The goal of the program is to deter crime and promote public safety through collaboration between the MPD and the community we serve. Accordingly, all registrants agree to the following terms and conditions: 1) In the event of a crime in the vicinity of your surveillance system, we may contact you directly using the information provided here to request you check your recordings for any pertinent evidence that may have been captured. Any footage found to contain or relate to criminal activity may be requested and collected by the MPD for use as evidence during any stage of a criminal proceeding. 2) Under no circumstances shall registrants construe that they are acting as an agent and/or employee of the City of Maumelle Arkansas and/or the Maumelle Police Department.
